Andrea and Cameron were looking for something a little different for their engagement photo shoot.

While discussion options I suggested the Hearn Power Plant located in Toronto’s Port Lands. They loved the idea.

I’m so happy that they were up for exploring this truly unique venue with me. I can honestly say that the Hearn Generating Station is one of my favorite locations that I’ve ever shot… even with all the rats.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from Andrea and Cameron’s engagement session at the Hearn Power Plant

I love the lenght of the the Hearn Power Plant main building, it provides so much depth, plus a cute couple kissing in the front of the frame helps this photo

Peek-a-boo? I'm not quite sure what's going on in this photo, other than everyone is having fun and warming up

This is one of my favorite places in the Hearn Power Plant. I love the contrast of the old steel beams, the giant rocks and the water.

Strike a pose! Personally I always stare wistfully off into the distance when I'm in a derelict building ;)

Everywhere we turned at the Hearn power Plant offered a new shooting location... like this cage in the middle of the room

Or the crazy dilapidated staff washrooms of the Hearn Power Plant... you don't even want to know how much dust there was

And finally the Hearn Power Plant jail. Actually I think this is a left over from a previous movie shoot

Usually my engagement session last between 1 and 2 hours. We were having so much fun and there were so many unique locations that we ended up shooting for 3.5 hours! The only reason we stopped was because it got dark and we couldn’t see anymore.

This is a location that I can’t wait to return too, even though it’s kinda out of the way and constantly being used my movie and tv crews as a premium location.
